I trained in London and qualified as a solicitor in 1971 having studied for my LLB at Bristol University. In 1972 I joined Clarke & Son and became a partner in 1974. As well as working in the legal field I spent 25 years in the Royal Naval Reserve, as a qualified Commanding Officer of a Minesweeper, Reserve Decoration.
During my 35 years as a Solicitor I have gained wide experience in most areas of the law including acting as a Deputy Coroner for 15 years. In the last 20 years I have specialized in Company/Commercial work and in particular dealing with company and partnership formations, shareholder and partnership agreements, investment and joint venture agreements, buying and selling of companies and businesses, terms of business etc.
I act for a wide range of businesses from the 'one man band' to larger corporates with multi-million pound turnovers. My main interests are sailing, cycling, walking, gardening and village (Kingsclere) life. I also sit on the board of 3 local charities.
