Family Law
Born in what at the time was known as British East Africa (now Kenya) I came to England at the tender age of 4 when my family moved here in 1967 and settled in Reading where I have now lived for the past (almost) 40 years. I went to the local grammar school in Reading and did my law degree at Kingston University.
I began to specialise in family law whilst working in London for seven years before coming to Clarke & Son in 1999. I am a member of Resolutions (previously known as Solicitors Family Law Association) and in 2003 obtained accredited status which means I have an expertise in family law which results in the client receiving high quality legal advice as quickly and easily as possible.
I subscribe to the Resolutions code of practice which amongst other things states that family law disputes should be dealt with in a way designed to preserve the client's dignity and encourage a settlement. Experience shows that agreements fairly reached are more likely to work in the long term than an Order imposed by the Court which either one party and sometimes both parties are unhappy with. This is particularly important where there are children involved.
Away from the office I am a family man and I enjoy playing football with my two young sons. I help to run a football club through a local charity in Reading of which I am the general secretary.
