The Procedure

  1. Client approaches Clarke & Son LLP.
  2. The Client provides information Clarke & Son LLP require in order to put together the Home Information Pack and a retainer letter and terms of business are sent to the client. This confirms Clarke & Son LLP's fees.
  3. An appointment is arranged if necessary to deal with finance.
  4. Clarke & Son LLP will immediately order the HIP through a selected HIP provider. For registered freehold properties up to 7 bedrooms this is likely to cost £299+VAT (or £335+VAT deferred credit) and £329+VAT for leasehold and unregistered properties (or £369+VAT to defer). An additional fee of £3.50 is also payable where the deferred credit option is required.
  5. The Property can be marketed.
  6. The HIP provider will contact the client in order to arrange an inspection of the sale property by an Energy Assessor.
  7. Clarke & Son LLP receive the compliant HIP in PDF format and arrange for this to be e-mailed to the Estate Agent.
  8. Marketing continues.
  9. The PDF version of the pack will be updated and as further documentation is received.
  10. The HIP is owned by the Client.
