Walking Directions From The Train Station

Basingstoke train station is a mainline station just 40 minutes from Waterloo.

As you walk out of Basingstoke train station, you will need to head down the steps into the town centre shopping precinct.

After the steps, you will cross a 'bus only' road and walk under a small tunnel, into the shopping centre, past Sainsbury on your left and into Castle square. Head straight over the square heading towards Festival Place.

After approximately 200 metres you need to enter the inside of the shopping centre, through some doors into the main Festival Place square. Turn immediately right off the square, just before Marks and Spencer, through another set of doors and back outside.

Walking down a small slope, with St Michaels Church opposite, turn left before crossing the road and head up the path and over the footbridge. Continue straight up Church Street until you reach Old Market Square at the top of the hill.

At Old Market Square, turn right into Winchester Street and head towards the end of the pedestrianised road. At the traffic lights, aim to be on the left-hand side and cross straight over onto Winchester Road.

Follow this footpath, past Winton Square, keeping left onto Winchester Road. Manor House is approximately 50 metres further on.

The total distance from the station is approximately 600 metres and takes about 10 minutes.
